| Hello, my name is Kevin Rullman and I
work for Lockheed Martin Space Operations at the Johnson Space Center.
I graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science
degree in Aerospace Engineering and have been working with Lockheed for
almost one year.
Currently, I work in the Crew and Thermal Systems Division here
at JSC, as a Project Engineer for Intravehicular Activity (IVA) Flight
Crew Equipment Projects. We
supply hardware such as the tools the astronauts use on a daily basis,
as well as the restraints and mobility aids they use to get their jobs
done while in space. We also
provide real-time support for Space Shuttle Missions and the International
Space Station Crews as they live and work on orbit.
I was born in Miami, FL and moved to Texas when I was five.
Having always wanting to work in the space industry, I’m right
at home here in Houston. In
my spare time I like to travel, go mountain biking, play soccer, softball,
and other sports. I have
recently earned my scuba certification, and also fly as a private pilot
as much as I possibly can.
This will be my first experience as a mentor
with the Texas Aerospace Scholars Program and I look forward to meeting
and working with all the students.
