| For the past two summers
I have worked as a counselor and lead counselor for the Texas Aerospace
Scholars Program. I love the program and was pleased to become the new
education manager.
I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1990
and taught biology for ten years. Some of my extra-curricular activities
included coaching Academic Decathlon and cheerleaders, sponsoring the
Science Club, and last year bringing a team of students to NASA for the
Texas Fly High Program, where we flew an experiment aboard the KC-135,
an aircraft that simulates micro-gravity.
My family includes my husband Larry, who is an Algebra teacher,
three sons Jeremy age 24, Tim age 22 and Justin age 20. We also have four
dogs, Einstein, Annie, Jesse and Samson. We live on a lake and enjoy water
skiing, jet skiing and just all around lake activities. I enjoy camping
and have been a counselor for Texas A&M Galveston Sea Camp's coastal
camping program. Traveling and reading are my hobbies. |
