HAS 2006-2007 Mentor Responsibilities

  • Facilitate student research and project design on a specific Mars Exploration topic: Mission Integration, Getting There, Living There or Working There and offer guidance in developing the team's final presentation.
  • Participate in the summer on-site workshop during team project time and presentation periods and other events as schedules permit.
  • Assist in evaluating team members performance, group projects, and the internship program as a whole.
  • Work in partnership with teachers and college co-ops to help to facilitate these projects.
  • Get acquainted with your student team, teacher, and co-op via e-mail and a coordinate an online discussion session two weeks prior to the summer workshop beginning.
  • Provide short biographies about your job, and why you became an engineer for the web site.
  • Attend one hour orientation session provided by HAS program manager.
  • Must be JSC-badged (civil servant or contractor).
