Upon completion of this lesson, students will be able to:

This assignment will be graded using the rubric in the mission of the lesson. The following components are required for this assignment:

  • Composing an essay of a Mars colony
  • Designing a graphic of the Mars colony
  • Solving the math problem by calculating the orbital velocity of the Mars spacecraft at the point of departure, when it leaves earth orbit, and at the point of arrival at Mars
  • Completing the quiz

Students are selected for the summer program based completion of lessons, score of quizzes, quality of work and timeliness.
